Head of Department, Doctor of Chemistry \u00a0Olexander Brovko<\/strong><\/p>\n

Department of\u00a0Physics and Chemistry of\u00a0polymers was\u00a0founded in 1959. At the department the research on the properties of polymers synthesized in other departments of the institute was conducted. Since 1965 the academician of National academy of sciences of Ukraine Yu.S.Lipatov was the head of the department.\u00a0He was a student of the famous scientist in the field of polymer\u00a0physicochemistry academician\u00a0V.A.Karhin. Yu.S.Lipatov laid the scientific directions of department\u2019s\u00a0works, further development of which allowed identifying new approaches to fundamental research of\u00a0multicomponent polymer systems.<\/p>\n

11 Doctors and 49 Candidates of Sciences were prepared in the department.<\/p>\n

The research results are summarized in 20 monographs (including 5 reviews), 3 reference books, 1300 scientific articles and 170 patents.<\/p>\n
