General Information
Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine – scientific and research institution, which has seven research departments, scientific auxiliary and support units and pilot production. It’s highly qualified team, in which more than 300 employees, including 1 Academician and 2 Corresponding Members of the NAS of Ukraine, 18 doctors and 73 candidates of sciences, 5 professors and 50 senior researchers.

Main research areas
Physics and physical chemistry of polymeric composite materials from which The priority is:
- chemistry, physical chemistry and technology of functional polymers and composites;
- theoretical bases of modification of polymers and composites products of low-tonnage chemistry;
- the theoretical foundations of the formation of polymers of medical appointment.
The Institute operates
Graduate studies in specialties: “Macromolecular Chemistry” and “Physics of Polymers”; Board protection dissertations for the degree of doctor and candidate of sciences on specialties: “Macromolecular Chemistry” and “Physics of Polymers”; Scientific Council of NAS of Ukraine on the issue of “Chemistry and polymer modification.”
The Institute publishes
The journal “Polymer Journal”, which published scientific articles in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
